Miller’s Huts Dorset
Not just for shepherds, our two homely shepherd’s huts each sleep two and enjoy idyllic millpond views from their own paddock. We’re a stone’s throw from the saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury, famed for Gold Hill and that 70s Hovis ad! The beautiful surrounds of John’s and Miller’s Huts, situated at our organic stoneground flour mill, create the perfect rural retreat and are a great base for exploring the locality and beyond. Both huts have been thoughtfully equipped with all that you should need, from hammocks and firepits to comfortable beds, books, games and crockery.
Not far from the huts, the facilities include a bright and clean washroom with a flushing loo and hot shower for your private use, and a Field Kitchen with a small fridge, a two stove electric hob, a toaster and a kettle as well as basic cooking equipment. A delicious breakfast basket of homemade bread, made with our organic stoneground flour, organic jam/marmalade, Dorset Cereals, yoghurt, stewed fruit, ground Lavazza coffee, butter, milk and juice is included in your stay.
Enjoy the simple romance of Dorset with a refreshing burst of nature and sense of togetherness.
Older children are welcome but please be aware we are by water and in a working environment.

TESTIMONIALS
"What you pay for here is the experience. Everything from the huts themselves to the freshly prepared breakfast is amazing. The location itself is something to shout about - we loved walking up the nearby hills, into Shaftesbury and over the road to the local vineyard. Would highly recommend The Mitre in Shaftesbury for a glass of wine overlooking Gold Hill or going further afield to Pythouse Garden ( a very special spot). Miller's Huts are both beautifully done and very comfortable - we’re even tempted to try them in winter."
"Jo was an incredibly considerate host. John's Hut and Miller’s hut were amazing, clean and comfortable and the surroundings unbeatably tranquil. The field kitchen and bathroom facilities were spotless and well stocked with all the essentials. We had a lovely stay!"
